Step 1 of 4

Install and open Farero

Install Farero on the computer that will run your agents and open the local app.

Updated 2026-09-15

Check your computer

The installer targets Apple-silicon macOS, Windows x64, and desktop Linux x64 with systemd. Install Git first. Windows needs Git for Windows. Linux needs curl and tar as well as Git. Farero includes its own Node runtime.

Windows and Linux have additional limits and outstanding device checks. Read Platform support and limitations before choosing a host you need to leave unattended.

Install on the host

On macOS or supported Linux, open a terminal:

Code
curl -fsSL https://updates.farero.ai/install.sh | sh

On Windows, open PowerShell:

Prompt
irm https://updates.farero.ai/install.ps1 | iex

Run the command as your normal user. The managed installer registers a login service, starts Farero, and opens the authenticated app in your browser. Managed installations receive stable updates by default.

Check that it opened

You should see the Farero workspace screen in your browser. You do not need to clone Farero's source or run a development server to use the installed app.

If the browser did not open, run farero on the host to open the app. If installation reports a missing prerequisite, resolve the named prerequisite; for other failures, see Troubleshooting.
