Getting started with Farero
Install Farero, connect a coding provider, and complete a small task you can review.
Updated 2026-09-15
Farero gives your coding agents a shared place to work. Open a repository, create a workspace for a task, and keep the conversation beside its files and changes. You can return to that work from your computer or a connected phone.
Before you begin
You need a supported computer, Git, a local repository, and access to a coding provider. Farero runs Codex, Claude Code, and OpenCode. Your provider account and its usage limits still apply.
Start on the computer that will run your agents. A phone connects to that computer; the repository and agent processes stay on the host.
Your first task
Choose a small change for your first run: improve one paragraph, explain one function, or fix a reproducible bug with a narrow test. You are finished when you understand the result and have reviewed the evidence—not simply when the agent stops writing.
If something interrupts setup, use Troubleshooting. After your first task, learn how workspaces, roles, and workflows fit together.
